Joss McKinley was born in Oxford 1981 and then raised in Somerset. In 2000 he moved to London to study graphic design at Central Saint Martins. There he found an interest in photography and went on to complete an MA in Fine Art Photography at the London College of Communication. Since graduating his work has been exhibited in The Foam Museum of Amsterdam and the National Portrait Gallery of London.
As well as concentrating on his personal work he is commissioned for publications such as
The New York Times, Intelligent Life, Wire, Nowness, AnOther and PORT.
He continues to live and work in London.
